PARTNER WITH US AS YOU GIVE TO HELP END HOMELESSNESS IN BLOUNT COUNTY

A Place To Stay Is Partnering To End Homelessness In Blount County.

APTS serves as a central hub bringing together representatives from non-profits, faith groups, government agencies, businesses and concerned citizens to network and facilitate local efforts to address homelessness and serve the needs of the un-housed. APTS also is increasing public awareness of homelessness, engaging the community in finding solutions, and is moving toward establishing and managing housing designed to move people from homelessness into stable housing and self-sufficiency. Our Community Outreach Resource center is in contact with 50-100 persons per month coming alongside to offer referrals and a listening ear. Quarterly Street Outreach Services days offer practical hands-on services from partner organizations.

Affordable Housing

A Place to Stay (APTS) plays a transformative and multifaceted role in preserving affordable housing and strengthening communities. By actively purchasing homes, APTS ensures these properties remain accessible to low-income residents, thereby directly combating displacement driven by rising housing costs and gentrification. This proactive approach not only maintains long-term affordability but also supports economic empowerment by enabling residents to build stability and wealth over time. Additionally, APTS’s work fosters inclusive and sustainable neighborhoods by promoting diverse communities and encouraging responsible property management. Its dedicated efforts turn housing into a lasting public good— anchoring community stability, providing opportunities for upward mobility, and instilling hope for future generations in the neighborhoods it serves.
